The Somerset on Grace Bay Providenciales is set on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and the view of pristine white sand and turquoise sea is almost enough by itself, but this new and one of the best small luxury hotels of the world is setting standards on the Providenciales.

There are 54 rooms and 39 suites, but if you can book an English cottage then you will be in for a spectacular time. It is a one bedroom suite, but very elegant and spacious, with a loft, beautiful elegant furnishings, master bedroom, two full bathrooms

The room which is really a suite has a large living room and dining room combo featuring a 42 inch plasma TV.

The room is two stories high and had a spiral staircase leading to a large loft area, with a pull-out couch presumably for children.

.There is a full kitchen with Viking applicances and next to the kitchen is a full-sized washer and dryer.

The bedroom is extremely large with a superb king sized bed and a walk in closet

There are question marks over the service at The Somerset, but you must speak as you find. Reports in general come down on the side of good service but obviously there are blips, after all this is the Caribbean!!

Breakfast is Continental and free, and you can eat it out by the pool or request a doggie bag, and then eat it on the beach!! Actually it’s called a To-Go Container!!

The Pool Bar does very good lunches at a reasonable price., and the O’Soleil restaurant’s food is very good if somewhat ‘nouvelle’ in style.

You need to be aware that although there are excellent restaurants nearby meals could cost $200 for two.

Finally the beach is spectacular, there are plenty of sunbeds, and umbrellas, and it is well staffed, with extremely luxurious sun loungers.

The beach and the sea are such a beautiful colour contrast with the turquoise sea and the pure white sand, and you can walk nearly for ever.

The Somerset on Grace Bay Providenciales is one of the best small luxury hotels in the world and perfect for a romantic break.
